The XF comes in three trims: Base, Premium and XFR. The base XF and XF Premium models receive 385-hp from a 5.0-liter V8. The XFR model adds a supercharger to the new 5.0-liter V8 to produce a whopping 500-hp. All engines send power to the rear wheels via a new six-speed automatic transmission featuring Jaguar Sequential Shift and steering wheel mounted paddle shifters. Safety features for all models include dual-stage front, seat-mounted side and side-impact curtain airbags, active head restraints, and a tire pressure monitoring system.
For 2011, the base XF model moves from the old 4.2-liter engine to a 5.0-liter that produces an extra 85-hp, bringing the total to 385-hp. All models receive a passenger exterior mirror that tilts down in reverse. XF, XF Premium and XF with Portfolio package move from a six-disc CD changer to a single-slot in-dash CD player.
